2026 Urban Gardens

This new page is going to be for the 2026 spring season.

Before xmas 2025, both Michel and Rachel planted batches (usual A and B, not blinded for this time) of specially 'cold resistant' peas at their homes, and only got 2 plants each to come up...

(Rachel's came up in the batch without the bacteria - Michel's??)

At least, the good rhizobial bacteria is growing well with the substitute for the african violet soil obtained in the states last fall, whew.

We also confirmed the sequence of the bacteria and confirmed that the peat moss was not good for it to grow!

However, our first attempt to isolate the wild rhizobial bacteria was not a success. More on this will be attempted, nonetheless.

As Spring approaches, we hope more people will sign up to join in at the General Assembly meeting. =)
