Biography
Who I am I am a retired chemistry teacher from the Gymnase de Chamblandes in Pully-Lausanne. I have also been the President of the Swiss Association of Natural Science Teachers. I also have created the Swiss participation at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) thirty years ago, and I am still active in this field.
Why I love Hackuarium.
Because there is room enough to carry out simple chemistry experiments, any time when I want it. As a retired chemistry teacher, I cannot any more go to my former high school. And I need at least a small lab to develop the laboratory experiments required to take part to the olympic selection in Switzerland.

Current projects
What I am currently working on I am trying to find a simple experiment to be done by the candidates at the IChO that will happening July 2023 in Zurich with 300 students from all over the world. I am presently checking whether the concentration of salicylic acid can be measured in solution with simple equipment. For example by spectrophotometry with iron(III) in a mixture with two other acids.
