The Payload issue

So, Octanis is building a rover, to be sent in Antartica in 2016.
The main question for them right now is: what should go into the payload, and why?

Payload Candidate 1

• Proposal by: Luc Henry
• Samples for: Human pollution, Biodiversity, "Life"
• Scientists there: What would contribute to your existing research?
• Specify the specs of the rover, sampling volume, range to the base.
• DNA marker, changing color "Life detecting die" - using a "plate" with 24 wells and glass bottom, "Greiner"
• DNA absorbs UV -> UV LED + detector
• Lifetechnologies > PicoGreen
• Luc will make a list of dyes and their requirements
