Protocols

The bio protocols can be found here . They are structured and explained in a process oriented way. The idea is to give the crucial information in order to perform the most common tasks found in the toolbox used daily by a microbiologist. The documents are structured as such:

  • A scheme describing the process
  • A quick explanation of the process and what is its purpose
  • A protocol explaining the different procedures to perform the process. Ideally there would be a 'commercial-kit' way and a DIY bio way of performing the process.
  • A safety detail regarding the process
  • Hackuarium specific information describing where you would find what, which machine you would use and the precautions regarding Hackuarium specific usage of the material.
  • You will also be able to find the standard materials used and a description of those. A process is usually composed of sub-processes & materials shown on the scheme as a rectangle with the specific process/material name on it. The process or material can be accessed through the wiki by typing in the URL BioP_'process-name' or BioP_'material'
